Ran across this on the internet and thought I would share. This is in response to US Gold medal winner Gabby Douglas who took the gymnastics world by storm only to have the racist country we live in talk ish about her pony tail. I was appalled when I first heard of it. C'mon son! Really? Her hair was not tied up right? SMH. I didn see a few other with way worst hair after completing their routines, but no comment on those, just the black girls. Gabby Douglas is an African/American icon. She will bring hope and that Yes I Can attitude to millions of little girls across the world.
Here is a poem written by one of these girls that was inspire by Gabby. Check it...

B-Boy/Graff Writer/DJ - Romali
Here's a dope flick of my man Romali getting it in at a graff/benefit show that went down sometime ago at the Wrtiterz Blok. Click on the photos to enoy the small details this artist does. Check out the tone-arm wiskers on the tigers face.
As promised here are few more flicks from the San Diego B-Boy Classic. The place made it hard to get good flicks so this is still not all the photos. I had to get a few of these from the web and do color corrections to get them to you a lil bit better. Many of the artist were San Diego pioneers and OG's and this made the experience that much better. The event was a 100% success. Big up to Sake for putting it all together and for his hard work. Enjoy!

So friend and WST member Sake is throwing a B-Boy jam and he asked just about everyone to get down on painting the walls of the venue the week before the event. The jam is called the: "San Diego B-Boy Classic". The theme for everyone painting was an 80's and/or NY subway style. By the time I got to the spot most of the wall space was taken up so I went with a B-Boy Mugzy character. This was also another one of Sake's rules if you were rocking characters. I wasn't 100% happy with the end product but still looks cool for the style and era of the character. Here are also a few other flicks of other artist that got down. The inside spot made it hard to take flicks, so I will try taking a few more and posting again. Enjoy!

Here's what I like to call "Pure Niceness" when it comes to the reggae steeze. This bomb comes compliments of one of my favorites Jah Cure and the tune is called "That Girl". Jah Cure is entering a new realm and one that I salute the bredren for. This is his first single from his new venture and label called Iyah Cure Label. The artist also says that he is also getting into the production side of the music to broaden his horizons. Here is a quote from the man himself:“I am investing in myself on a broader scale because I have come to realise that the Jah Cure brand is powerful. My name is worth millions and that’s why other people want to invest in me, so I figured that I should invest in myself and be in control of my own destiny,” - Jah Cure.
